Get Your Brakes Checked Once a Year

When you drive a car, you need to have the brakes checked on a consistent basis. The general recommendation is to have a brake inspection either every 12,000 miles or once a year, whichever comes first. Even when you don't have a problem driving your car, follow a routine so that you won't have issues with your brakes.

Over time, your brake pads are going to wear down from use. If you hear a squealing noise when you press down your brake pedal, this is because the brake pads are almost worn down. If the noise turns into a grinding noise, the pads are gone and the rotors are being scraped.

If you hear strange noises while driving, bring your car to Shore Toyota for service. We will look over your car carefully and identify the problem. We can inspect your brakes, change the pads and fill up the brake fluid for you.
