It takes only a mere glance at the new Toyota models Shore Toyota carries at 4236 Black Horse Pike Mays Landing, NJ 08330 to see that the company as a whole takes environmental responsibility seriously. What's more, fuel-efficient vehicles like the Toyota Prius, Prius c and all-new Avalon Hybrid are only one aspect of this deep commitment to reducing emissions.
In short, the report proves that Toyota is committed to keeping its environmental impact as small as possible. That, of course, is an easy claim to make. It's also a rather broad one. That said, we're guessing you'd like to know some of the highlights of the 2012 North American Environmental Report from Toyota.
First and foremost, Toyota notes the important release of three eco-conscious vehicles:
- The 2012 Prius c.
- The 2012 Prius Plug-In
- And the 2012 RAV4 EV (developed with Tesla Motors)
Continuing onto the rest of the new Toyota lineup, the report notes that it exceeded requirements set under the Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards for U.S. cars.
"Toyota believes sustainable operations go hand-in-hand with our core values of quality, innovation and good corporate citizenship," says Toyota Senior Vice President and Secretary, Dian Ogilvie of the report. "We are committed to continuous improvement and finding creative ways to address the challenges of climate change and resource scarcity with dedicated leadership and the help of our partners."1
