On the off chance that you missed it, voting has officially closed for this year's 100 Cars for Good program. For those unfamiliar, it was a chance to vote for your favorite nonprofit organization in the US to receive a new Toyota vehicle. And now that our favorite automaker has begun making deliveries to this year's winners, the pride just continues to grow here at Shore Toyota.

Of the 100 nonprofits that received the most votes this year, one of them was Trenton's own One Simple Wish. Founded by Danielle Gletow, One Simple Wish is an organization that works to support youth who have been abandoned, abused or neglected by their parents, guardians or anyone, for that matter. For all the great work that she and her staff have done and continue to do, Gletow was named of CNN's top 10 "Heroes of the Year".

If ever there was a nonprofit that deserved a new 2013 Toyota Highlander for their selfless efforts, it's them. But when Toyota recently paid them a visit and did just that, it was only just the beginning. In addition to the brand-new Highlander, guests at the scene also helped to fill up the SUV with gifts and school supplies for the children that One Simple Wish services.

Not only that, but they even brought Darryl McDaniels of RUN DMC along for the ride. Being a personal supporter of the organization, McDaniels' presence and performances for those in attendance was far more than just star power.

Like we said, we've got a lot to be proud of at our dealership these days, and with 99 more vehicles to deliver, Toyota's just getting started. So if you'd like to learn more about how our favorite automaker is working to give back, we'd be happy to fill you in at our dealership here in Landing, NJ, just down the way from Vineland. After all, 'tis the season.
