The third-generation Toyota Prius, which ran from model years 2010 to 2015, was a much-beloved hybrid by many eco-conscious drivers.

The cabin was surprisingly spacious and modern for a car that seems compact and unassuming on the outside. Its boxy shape allowed for an astonishing 21.6 cubic feet of cargo space. It could travel 51 miles on a single gallon of gasoline (city). Upper trim levels included decadent options like heated seats, moon-roof, and advanced Toyota Safety Sense technology. "Protecting the environment is not just about CO₂ and emissions," says Didier Leroy, Executive Vice President of Toyota Motor Corporation. "Biodiversity is equally important to human lives."

For that reason, Toyota announced yesterday that it will be partnering up with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) for the next five years, funding and supporting the organization's assessment
